2009 SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The first annual Starkville Arts Council’s Everything Garden Expo reaped $5,000 in scholarships for Mississippi State University students. George Hopper, dean of the College of Forest Resources and Extension state leader for natural resources programs, center, accepts a check from Chip Templeton, SAC president. Units that will benefit from the donation are represented by their department heads including, from left, Bob Ratliff, Office of Agricultural Communications; Sadik Artunc, Landscape Architecture; Jac Varco, Plant and Soil Sciences; and Gary Jackson, School of Human Sciences. Garden Expo organizers were Imogene Triplett, Beverly Jones and Jane Loveless. The 2010 Expo is slated for March.
