Star Shine Scholarship Auction

Auction Package 1
One week luxurious vacation package to fabulous Sterling Shores resort located in the heart of Destin Florida for a fully furnished and equipped three-bedroom condo with a private balcony with a view of the gulf, a full-sized kitchen, washer/dryer, TV, DVD player, linens/towels, and toiletries. Other amenities include a 4,300 square-foot lagoon pool with a play area just for children, a gulf-side beach club, a fitness room, and a movie theater. Included in this package is a dining gift certificate in the amount of $200 from our Star Shine Celebrity Chef, Tim Creehan of The Inn at Crystal Beach in Destin Florida. The vacation package is available for use during any week from now until December 26th. Auction Package 4
Chef Jay Yates, owner and executive chef of The Veranda, will come to your home to cook for your own private fall party of 4-6 people. The owner of the winning bid will work with chef Yates to create a menu and schedule the dinner. The winner is responsible for providing the ingredients for the dinner; chef Yates provides the artistry. (the winner may also be responsible for travel costs if located outside of the Starkville area).

Auction Package 5
Chef Vicki Leach is a Chef Instructor with The Viking Cooking School in Greenwood, Mississippi, and a faculty member at the MUW Culinary Arts institute. Chef Leach will come to your home to cook for your own private fall party of 4-6 people. The owner of the winning bid will work with chef Leach to create a menu and schedule the dinner. The winner is responsible for providing the ingredients for the dinner; chef Leach provides the artistry. (the winner may also be responsible for travel costs if located outside of the Starkville area).

Auction Package 6
Chef Bob Abare is slated to be the head chef of Doe's Eat Place of Starkville, which will be opening on Main Street in downtown Starkville very soon. Chef Abare will come to your home to cook for your own private fall party of 4-6 people. The owner of the winning bid will work with chef Abare to create a menu and schedule the dinner. The winner is responsible for providing the ingredients for the dinner; chef Abare provides the artistry. (the winner may also be responsible for travel costs if located outside of the Starkville area).

HOW TO PLACE A BID
Please sent the following information in your bid to: starshine@starkvillearts.org
1. Choose a codename for your bid. This is the name which will be used to list the bidding amounts on the website. All bidding information will be updated at midnight each night so that you can raise your bid in order to assure yourself of obtaining your desired package.
2. Include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address so that we can contact you in the event you win the auction on which you are bidding.
3. Name your package by number and name your bid. Bidding on Package 1 begins at $500 and bidding should be in increments of $100. Bidding on all other packages is open.
4. Bidding is closed at 6:00PM on August 5th, so be sure to e-mail before that time, mail your bid several days in advance so that it arrives by post that day, before the close of the business day.
5. You may bid as many times as you wish.
6. Payment of winning bids can be made to the Starkville Area Arts Council by cash, check and Visa or Mastercard.
Winners of the auction will be announced on August 5th at on this website, and will be published in the Starkville Daily News in the following days.
